About the Opportunity
The Tamil Nadu Forest and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau is seeking one Legal Officer (Young Professional-II). The selected candidate will work on legal matters involving wildlife crime, forest offences, environmental laws and related litigation and prosecution work.
The position requires experience in legal drafting, case-law research, coordination with investigating agencies and prosecution authorities, and handling wildlife crime and forest offence cases.

Remuneration
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹45,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B./B.L.) from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- Candidates must be enrolled as an Advocate with a State Bar Council.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in legal practice, legal research, litigation or related legal work.
- Candidates should have experience in criminal law, prosecution, investigation or court-related matters.
- Candidates should have knowledge or experience in the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, Indian Forest Act, 1927, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and other relevant forest and environmental laws.
- Candidates should have experience in drafting legal opinions, notices, petitions, affidavits, replies and other legal documents.
- Candidates should have experience handling wildlife crime and forest offence cases.
- Candidates should have experience coordinating with investigating agencies and prosecution authorities.
- Candidates should have knowledge of judicial precedents and case-law research, particularly relating to wildlife and environmental offences.

The selected candidate will undertake legal research and work with judicial precedents and case law relating to wildlife and environmental offences.
Legal Drafting
The role involves drafting legal opinions, notices, petitions, affidavits, replies and other legal documents.
