About the Opportunity
HyperVerge is inviting applications for a full-time legal internship based in Bengaluru. The role will provide exposure to technology law, corporate governance, emerging compliance frameworks, contracts, data privacy, intellectual property, and legal operations.
Selected interns will work on legal research, contract lifecycle management, compliance and regulatory readiness, and special legal and business operations projects.
Duration
The internship will be conducted for six months.
Start Date
The internship can begin immediately.
Mode
The internship will be conducted in-person on a full-time basis.
Location
The internship is based in Bengaluru.
Stipend
The selected intern will receive a stipend of INR 25,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be in the fourth or final year of a BA.LLB, BBA.LLB, or LLM programme from a reputed law school.
- Candidates should have excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Candidates should have a strong interest in technology law, corporate governance, and emerging compliance frameworks.
- Candidates should have a strong command of Microsoft Office tools and be comfortable with collaborative platforms such as Google Suite and Notion.
- Candidates should have strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset.
- Prior internships with corporate law firms or in-house legal departments are preferred.
- Exposure to technology contracts, data privacy frameworks, or intellectual property issues is preferred.
- Experience with startup, SaaS, or AI company environments will be an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research & Policy Awareness
- Conduct legal research on AI governance, data protection, intellectual property, and technology compliance.
- Track global regulatory developments affecting SaaS, fintech, and AI industries.
- Translate legal concepts into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Assist in reviewing, redlining, and managing NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, partnership contracts, and other agreements.
- Maintain an organised repository of contractual documents, including version control and renewal tracking.
- Collaborate with business teams on compliant deal-making.
Compliance & Regulatory Readiness
- Assist with internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and data privacy initiatives.
- Prepare filings and documentation relating to licensing, corporate governance, and international business regulations.
- Assist in aligning internal processes with applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and GDPR.
Special Projects & Legal Operations
- Support strategic legal initiatives relating to products, people, and partnerships.
- Handle internal documentation and reporting.
- Maintain legal knowledge bases.
- Undertake ad hoc legal and business operations assignments.
