About the Opportunity
The internship will provide practical exposure to Armed Forces Tribunal matters, service litigation, disability and service pension cases, ECHS and ex-servicemen welfare matters, legal research, case-law analysis and legal drafting.
Interns will be assigned live case-based research work. One current assignment concerns an ECHS dependency matter involving dependency income, bank credits or loan proceeds, Form 26AS and renewal of ECHS dependent cards.
Interns will be required to locate the relevant judgment or order and submit its PDF along with a concise case analysis.
Duration
The internship will be conducted during September and October 2026.

Physical and virtual internship opportunities may be considered.
Location
The internship is associated with the Armed Forces Tribunal and the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. students can apply.
- Students interested in Armed Forces, Service and Constitutional Law are encouraged to apply.
- Young advocates interested in Armed Forces litigation can apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
- Conduct practical legal research and case-law analysis.
- Work on live case-based research assignments.
- Locate actual judgments and orders relevant to assigned matters.
- Submit judgment or order PDFs along with concise case analyses.
Drafting
- Assist with drafting OAs, writ petitions, representations and legal notices.
Litigation Support
- Gain practical exposure to Armed Forces Tribunal matters.
- Assist with matters concerning disability and service pension.
- Gain exposure to ECHS and ex-servicemen welfare matters.
- Gain exposure to service litigation before High Courts.
