LawAI is offering a Winter Research Fellowship focused on legal research concerning the EU AI Act and adjacent questions at the intersection of artificial intelligence, law, and policy.
About the Opportunity
The LawAI Winter Research Fellowship (EU Law) is a ten-week paid research role based in Cambridge, UK. Fellows will undertake research focused on the EU AI Act and related legal questions.
The fellowship includes mentorship from LawAI staff and affiliates, Q&A sessions and technical workshops with experts in the field, and opportunities to explore future collaborations.
Duration
The fellowship will run for ten weeks from February 1 to April 9, 2027.
Convening Week
A Convening Week will be held in Cambridge from February 8 to 12, 2027.
Location
The fellowship will be based in Cambridge, UK.
Stipend
Fellows will receive a stipend of £1,000 per week.
Relocation Payment
Fellows moving to Cambridge will receive a relocation payment of £7,000.

Eligibility Criteria
- Law students, professionals, and academics are welcome to apply.

- Prior AI-specific experience is desirable but not required.
