Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is organizing the 4th JGLS-Khaitan & Co Negotiation Competition 2027 at the O.P. Jindal Global University campus.
The Competition is scheduled to take place on February 6-7, 2027, with the negotiation plan round preceding the in-person oral negotiation rounds.
About the Opportunity
The 4th JGLS-Khaitan & Co Negotiation Competition 2027 will provide law students with an opportunity to participate in a negotiation competition through a negotiation plan round followed by oral negotiation rounds.
The competition will begin with a provisional registration process for institutions. Registered teams will then participate in the negotiation plan round, from which the top 16 teams will be selected for the in-person oral negotiation rounds at O.P. Jindal Global University.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any team of law students enrolled in a 5-year or 3-year law programme in India is eligible.
- Participants must be registered in their respective institutions as full-time students for the current academic year, 2026-2027.
- Only one negotiating team comprising two members can participate in the Negotiation Plan Round.
- Only one response to the provisional registration form should be submitted from each institution.
Dates
The Negotiation Plan Round will take place from October 11-18, 2026.
The Qualifier Rounds will be held on February 6, 2027.
The Semi-Finals and Finals will be held on February 7, 2027.
Registration Fee
There is no registration fee for the Competition.
Selected teams will be provided food and accommodation for all the days of the Competition.

Application Procedure

The provisional registration form is intended to confirm the institutionโs intention to participate. The respective Committee Heads or Teams are requested to complete the form by October 4, 2026.
The negotiation plan round problem will be released to all provisionally registered teams on October 11, 2026. Negotiation plans for both sides must be submitted by 11:59 PM on October 18, 2026.
The Policy Document containing the scoring criteria and other specifications will be emailed to participants who have successfully registered for the Negotiation Plan Round.
The top 16 teams from the negotiation plan round will be invited to participate in the in-person oral negotiation rounds at O.P. Jindal Global University on February 6 and 7, 2027. The selected teams will subsequently be required to complete a final registration form confirming their participation and providing other necessary team details.
