About International Trademark Association (INTA)
The International Trademark Association (INTA) is an organisation focused on trademarks and intellectual property. Its India and South Asia Consultative Office works on issues relating to intellectual property, policy and legal developments in the region.
The internship will provide students with exposure to policy and legal research and an opportunity to assist with INTAβs ongoing work in India and South Asia.
About the Opportunity
INTA is inviting applications for two remote internship positions at its India and South Asia Consultative Office. The opportunity is specifically for law students from India and the South Asia region and is not a job opportunity.
The internship will involve policy and legal research, along with assistance in INTAβs ongoing work in India and South Asia, including meetings, roundtables and other initiatives. Students with a genuine interest in intellectual property, particularly in areas involving AI, technology, the internet and data and their intersection with IP and policy, are encouraged to apply.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for brief Zoom interviews.
Number of Positions
Two interns will be selected for the internship.
Duration
The internship will be for a period of two months, from August 24 to October 24, 2026.
Mode
The internship will be conducted in remote mode.
Stipend
Each selected intern will receive a stipend of INR 30,000 for the two-month internship period.
Practice Areas
The internship will involve intellectual property, policy and legal research, with particular relevance to the intersection of IP with AI, technology, the internet and data.
Eligibility Criteria
- The opportunity is open to students from India and the South Asia region who are currently studying law.
- LL.B. students are eligible to apply.
- Full-time LL.M. students are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with a genuine interest in intellectual property are encouraged to apply.
- An interest in AI, technology, the internet, data and their intersection with IP and policy is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal & Policy Research
Interns will assist with legal and policy research relating to intellectual property and related policy issues.
Regional Initiatives
Interns will assist with INTAβs ongoing work in India and South Asia.
Meetings & Roundtables
Interns will support work relating to meetings, roundtables and other initiatives undertaken by INTA in India and South Asia.
