About the Opportunity
Treelife is inviting applications for a Law Internship offering exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC) transactions, contracts, and compliance. Selected interns will work closely with the legal team on research, drafting, transaction support, and regulatory compliance matters involving startups and investors.
The internship is designed to provide practical experience in corporate and commercial law while working in a fast-paced professional environment.
Mode
The internship will be conducted in hybrid or remote mode.
Location
The internship is based in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
Stipend
Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month.
Practice Areas
The internship provides exposure to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, company law, commercial contracts, compliance, data protection, foreign investments, acquisitions, and investment exits.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students currently enrolled in a law school may apply.
- Applicants should be available for a full-time internship.

Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
- Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned matters.
Drafting
- Draft and review contracts, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Support the drafting, vetting, and negotiation of transaction documents for investment transactions.
Corporate Advisory
- Assist with compliance and other legal functions.
- Work on matters relating to company law, commercial contracts, data protection, foreign investments, acquisitions, and investment exits.
Transaction Support
- Support investment transactions involving startups and investors.
- Assist with legal documentation and administrative work.
Client Coordination
- Attend client meetings and prepare meeting notes.
