HUMAN.DROITS is an advocacy platform focused on human rights issues and socio-legal developments. Its work includes gender-based crimes, intersectional violence against women and human rights advocacy.
About the Opportunity
HUMAN.DROITS is inviting applications from law students for a research project examining the intersectionality of violence against women in South Asia and its relationship with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
The project will explore how different forms of inequality and discrimination intersect in the context of violence against women. Selected interns will contribute to research and writing under the project.
Duration
The internship will be for 1 month, commencing from September 15, 2026.
Start Date
The tentative start date is September 15, 2026.
Mode
The internship will be conducted remotely.
Working Hours
The internship is part-time, with an expected time commitment of approximately 9–10 hours per week.

- Selected interns who demonstrate strong research and writing skills may have the opportunity to continue working with the HUMAN.DROITS team on the development of the project’s research report in the following months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students with a genuine interest in women’s rights, gender justice and violence against women.
- Basic legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to work with legal and academic sources.
- Ability to conduct structured online or desk research and accurately record sources.
- Interest in CEDAW and international human rights law.
- Ability to meet agreed deadlines and work independently.
- Willingness to receive feedback and revise research or writing accordingly.
- Prior experience in research or human rights work is welcome but not mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
- Conduct structured research on the intersectionality of violence against women in South Asia.
- Work with legal and academic sources relating to CEDAW and international human rights law.
- Accurately record research sources.
Drafting
- Contribute to research and writing for the project.
- Revise research and writing based on feedback.
