About the Opportunity
Hirani & Associates is inviting applications for an Associate position in its Litigation – IP and Media & Entertainment practice.
The role focuses on trademark and copyright disputes, along with non-contentious Media & Entertainment work. The selected candidate will appear in and prepare for court proceedings, draft pleadings and applications, handle trademark prosecution, and advise clients on enforcing and structuring rights across content, licensing, and brand portfolios.
Location
The position will be based in Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria
- India-qualified advocate.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Hands-on experience in IP litigation and trademark prosecution.
- Strong drafting and analytical skills.
- Genuine interest in the Media & Entertainment space.
- Ability to exercise judgment and run matters independently.
Roles & Responsibilities
Litigation
- Handle trademark and copyright litigation.
- Draft pleadings, applications, and notices.
- Assist with litigation strategy and hearings.
- Appear in and prepare for court proceedings.
Trademark Prosecution
- Conduct trademark searches.
- Handle trademark filings.
- Prepare examination responses.
- Manage trademark portfolios end to end.
Media & Entertainment
- Draft and negotiate production, licensing, and content agreements.
- Advise clients on the exploitation of rights.
- Advise on structuring and enforcement of rights across content, licensing, and brand portfolios.
