About the Opportunity

HighLevel is inviting applications for a Commercial Legal Apprentice to join its Legal team. This hands-on, learning-intensive role covers go-to-market contract management and vendor contract review. The HighLevel legal apprenticeship is designed for candidates with a genuine interest in contract law, technology transactions and legal operations.

The apprentice will support the Legal team across commercial contracting, compliance, legal operations and collaboration with business teams. The work involves agreements connected with affiliates, sponsorships, events, speakers, vendors and technology operations.

Work Type

This is a six-month apprenticeship with the Legal department and Legal sub-department.

Duration

The duration of the apprenticeship is six months.

Stipend

The monthly stipend is 45,000 INR.

Location and Mode

The position is based in India and is remote. The role may require coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders working across IST, EST, PST and CDT time zones.

Programme Start

The programme is scheduled to start in October 2026.

Working Hours

The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting, reviewing and updating affiliate agreements, service contracts, supplier agreements, sponsorship agreements, event contracts, speaker agreements, NDAs, MSAs, Order Forms, SOWs and Amendments.
• Identify key commercial and legal terms, flag deviations from standard positions, and escalate non-standard provisions to senior team members.
• Review counterparty redlines, prepare comparison summaries, and assist with briefing notes on negotiation points, risks and recommended responses.
• Coordinate with Affiliate, Events, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, IT and Security teams to gather context and track contract status.
• Conduct legal research on relevant regulations, contract laws and industry standards, including compliance reviews of promotional content.
• Maintain contract trackers, filing systems and contract lifecycle management platforms, including Ironclad, while tracking deadlines, renewals and milestones.
• Support due diligence, compliance-related research, template management, clause libraries, review playbooks and legal operations projects.

Eligibility Criteria

• Recent Bachelor’s degree in Law, or currently pursuing a law degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic record and a genuine interest in corporate, contract or commercial law.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical ability and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Ability to read dense documents carefully and identify inconsistencies, gaps and risks.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts at different stages and follow up on assigned work.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• A collaborative, proactive and reliable approach to working with internal teams.
• Comfort with Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot for research, drafting and summarisation.
• A safe and secure computer system and fast internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework, internship or project experience involving contract review, commercial law or legal operations.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models or technology transactions.
• Basic proficiency in Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
• Exposure to contract lifecycle management tools, especially Ironclad.
