About the Organisers

The Legal Aid Clinic & Pro-Bono Club, School of Law, Justice & Governance, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, is organising the National Conference on “Intellectual Property Rights: Innovation, Access and Society” in collaboration with Jotwani Associates, New Delhi. The School of Law, Justice & Governance promotes excellence in legal education, research and professional development through an interdisciplinary and experiential approach, including clinical legal education, legal aid, moot courts, debates and other academic activities.

About the Conference

The National Conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for discussion on contemporary developments in Intellectual Property Rights, innovation, access to knowledge and medicines, emerging technologies, public interest, social justice and the future of IP law and policy. The conference will provide an opportunity for students, researchers, academicians and legal professionals to present their research and exchange ideas on emerging issues in Intellectual Property Rights.

Theme

The conference will focus on “Intellectual Property Rights: Innovation, Access and Society”. The discussions will cover contemporary developments in Intellectual Property Rights, innovation, access to knowledge and medicines, emerging technologies, public interest, social justice, and the future of IP law and policy.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Research scholars.
  • Faculty members and academicians.
  • Legal professionals and researchers.

Submission Guidelines

  • Participants are required to submit their abstracts and complete registration through the prescribed Google Form.
  • The abstract should be 300 to 500 words long.
  • The abstract must be original and unpublished, and plagiarism should be below 10%.
  • The abstract must include the objectives, methodology, data sources and keywords.
  • AI-written content will not be accepted.
  • Details regarding full paper submission will be communicated to accepted participants.

Mode and Venue

The conference will be conducted in hybrid mode. The venue is Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Registration Fees

  • GBU undergraduate and postgraduate students: Rs. 200
  • Research scholars and other undergraduate and postgraduate students: Rs. 300
  • Faculty members and professionals: Rs. 500

The registration fee includes the conference kit, high tea, lunch and a participation or presentation certificate, as applicable. Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.

  • Abstract Submission and Registration: October 31, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance for Presentation: November 10, 2026
  • Full Paper Submission: November 18, 2026
  • Conference: November 20, 2026
