Feminism & Psychology invites papers on intersectional violences by December 30, 2026.
About Feminism & Psychology
Feminism & Psychology is a journal that publishes feminist psychological scholarship. This special issue builds on the journal’s recent Virtual Special Issue reviewing feminist psychological work on violence across more than 30 years of publication.
About the Call for Papers
The call invites manuscripts for the special issue “Intersectional Violences: Feminist Psychological Perspectives.” It seeks contemporary feminist psychological scholarship examining violence through intersectional perspectives, with particular attention to absences and invisibilities and to the complex power dynamics shaping how violence is experienced and understood.
Submissions may explore expansive understandings of violence, contemporary conceptualisations and applications of intersectionality in feminist psychological research and action, invisibilised forms of violence, and people rendered illegible through these forms of violence. The call also welcomes examinations of the intersectional scope of prior feminist psychological work, intersectional consciousness, and intersectional futures for scholarship and action.
Submission Categories
The editors encourage theoretical, empirical, and methodological papers, along with work focused on research and practice. Topics may engage with policy, applications or translations of research, programming, advocacy, activism, and professional or clinical practice. Authors considering other formats may email the guest editors to discuss their ideas.

- Contributions should engage broadly with intersectional violences and feminist psychological perspectives on violence.
- All contributions will be peer reviewed, and submitting authors will be invited to peer review other submissions.
