About the Book

VedaNyaya ‘Law, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies’ is the Edited Book of Law and Technology of National Law University, Jodhpur (Volume I, Issue I). The Board of Editors invites original, unpublished manuscripts for publication in the upcoming issue. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review conducted by a Board of Peer Reviewers, guided by the faculty editors and assisted by the editorial team prior to publication. Selected papers will be published as chapters in an accredited book bearing an ISBN. The decision of the Editorial Board and reviewers is final and binding.

Theme and Sub-Themes

The theme of the volume is AI and Law in Emerging Technology. Submissions are invited on the following sub-themes:

• Artificial Intelligence and Law
• Data Protection and Cyber Security Law
• Artificial Intelligence in Corporate Law
• Fintech Regulations
• Medtech Regulations
• Insurtech Regulations

Submission Guidelines

• The word limit is 5,000–6,000 words, inclusive of footnotes and abstract.
• All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 300 words, along with 5–7 keywords.
• Co-authorship is permitted for a maximum of three authors, and each author or team may send only one submission.
• The manuscript must be in English only, with British or American spelling used consistently.
• Citations must conform to the Bluebook (21st edition) Uniform System of Citation.
• Similarity up to 10% is permissible; all submissions will be screened using Turnitin for similarity and AI-generated content.
• The manuscript must not contain any identifying information relating to the author(s). Author details must be provided separately in a cover letter, including name(s), institutional affiliation(s), contact number and e-mail ID, postal address, ORCID ID (if applicable) and a short biography of not more than 50 words.
• Submissions must be original, unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• Manuscripts not in conformity with the guidelines may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board, which also reserves the right to return manuscripts for modifications at any stage.

Formatting Requirements

• Title: Times New Roman, size 15, bold, 2.0 line spacing, centre-aligned.
• Abstract: Times New Roman, size 12, italicised, 1.5 line spacing, justified, 2.0 margins.
• Main body: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified.
• Headings: Times New Roman, size 14, 1.5 line spacing, centre-aligned.
• Sub-headings: Times New Roman, size 13, italicised, 1.5 line spacing, centre-aligned.
• Footnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, 1.0 line spacing, justified.
• Margins: one inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.

Contributions are invited from academicians and faculty members, research scholars and doctoral candidates, legal practitioners and advocates, undergraduate and postgraduate students, policymakers and government officials, industry and IP professionals, members of the judiciary, and technology and innovation professionals.

Application Procedure

Authors must send an electronic version of their manuscripts in .doc or .docx format to cera@nlujodhpur.ac.in by 31 October 2026. The file name should be in the format “Sub-Theme, Title, First Name(s)”, and the subject of the email should be “Chapter Submission_Law and Technology_Vol I Issue”. Incomplete submissions or submissions not following the guidelines will not be considered. Selected authors will be required to sign the publisher’s Consent to Publish / Copyright Transfer Agreement, and the selected papers will be published as chapters in an accredited book bearing an ISBN.
