Number of Vacancies
The recruitment covers vacancies across multiple scales and specialised streams. The vacancy figures are provisional, include backlog vacancies, and may be changed by the Bank depending on its actual requirements.
Pay Scale
The basic pay scales mentioned in the notification are:
- Scale I (JMGS-I): โน48,480 โ โน85,920
- Scale II (MMGS-II): โน64,820 โ โน93,960
- Scale III (MMGS-III): โน85,920 โ โน1,05,280
- Scale IV (SMGS-IV): โน1,02,300 โ โน1,20,940
Other allowances and applicable benefits will be provided as per Bank rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements prescribed for the particular post, including the applicable educational qualifications, age, professional experience and certifications.
The relevant eligibility is to be assessed as on 01.08.2026. Candidates must produce supporting documents relating to their nationality, age, educational qualifications, work experience and category wherever applicable.
The notification specifies that the detailed age, educational qualification and experience requirements for individual posts are provided in Annexure I.
Candidates should also note:
- Candidates can apply for only one post.
- Candidates must be willing to work anywhere in India.
- Candidates who previously held a similar post in Bank of India are not eligible.
- Reserved-category candidates may receive applicable relaxation in educational marks and upper age limits.
- SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5 yearsโ upper-age relaxation.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are eligible for 3 yearsโ relaxation.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and eligible candidates affected by the specified categories may receive the applicable relaxation.

The notification covers several specialised Officer streams. Responsibilities will depend on the post applied for and may relate to areas such as:

- Data engineering and data analytics
- Information security and cybersecurity
- DevSecOps
- IT infrastructure and database administration
- Digital banking operations
- Finacle application support
- IT procurement, contracts and SLA management

The specific qualifications, experience and functional requirements are prescribed separately for each advertised post in Annexure I.
Selection Procedure
The selection process may consist of an online examination and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.
Online Examination
The online examination consists of:
- English Language: 25 marks
- Professional Knowledge relevant to the post: 100 marks
- Composite Duration: 100 minutes
The English Language test is qualifying in nature, while the Professional Knowledge test is used for merit purposes.
There is a penalty for wrong answers, with one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question deducted for each incorrect answer.
Interview
Candidates who qualify and rank sufficiently high in the online examination may be called for a personal interview.
The interview carries 100 marks, with minimum qualifying marks of 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates where reserved vacancies are notified.
Where both the online examination and interview are conducted, the weightage is 60:40 between the online examination and interview.
The Bank may also conduct the selection process solely through interview without holding an online examination.
Mode
Online Application
The online examination, where conducted, will be held at designated examination centres across various States and Union Territories. The notification includes centres in cities such as Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and several others.
Application Fee
The application fee/intimation charges are:
- SC/ST/PWD: โน175/- (intimation charges only)
- General/EWS/OBC: โน1,180/- (application fee + intimation charges)
Bank transaction charges for online payment are to be borne by the candidate.

- Note the Provisional Registration Number and Password generated by the system.
- Complete the application form and verify all details carefully.
- Upload the required photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.

- Take a printout of the system-generated application form and retain it for future reference.
