The firm is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate who can work on high-stakes disputes, contribute to legal strategy, and take responsibility for matter management and client communication.
About the Opportunity
The Associate will work directly with partners on complex litigation and arbitration mandates. The role involves drafting pleadings and legal documents, conducting research, appearing and coordinating across various forums, and assisting with legal opinions.
The role also requires strong matter management and client communication skills, with an emphasis on timely delivery, version control, and proactive handling of disputes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in dispute resolution or litigation.
- Candidates should have strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Candidates should have an interest in trial practice.
- Candidates should be reliable with timelines, version control, and client communication.
- Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach and ability to take ownership of assignments.
Roles & Responsibilities
Litigation & Drafting
- Draft pleadings, applications, written submissions, and legal notices.
- Appear and coordinate across various forums.
- Assist with trial-related matters.
Legal Research & Opinions
- Undertake research-heavy assignments.
- Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal opinions.
- Contribute to legal strategy in complex disputes.
Matter Management
- Manage assigned matters and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain appropriate version control and documentation.
- Anticipate requirements and take ownership of assigned work.
Client Communication
- Communicate with clients regarding ongoing matters.
- Support the firm’s solution-first approach to dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective management of matters.
Litigation & Arbitration
- Work directly with partners on complex litigation and arbitration mandates.
- Gain exposure to cross-border disputes and regulatory litigation.
