JNS Legal’s practice covers banking, debt recovery, insurance and insolvency matters. The firm works on matters for banks, financial institutions, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and insurance companies.

About the Opportunity

The internship involves working directly on live matters in the firm’s banking, recovery, insurance and insolvency practice. Interns will receive regular exposure to proceedings before the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Consumer Commissions and Delhi High Court.

Defence Colony, New Delhi.

Mode

The internship will be conducted in-office.

Duration

A minimum commitment of four weeks is required.

Stipend

A competitive stipend is offered.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fourth- or fifth-year students in a five-year LL.B. programme, or final-year students in a three-year LL.B. programme.
• A genuine interest in banking, commercial litigation and insolvency law.
• Good legal research skills and clear written English.
• Familiarity with SCC Online or Manupatra will be an advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

Interns will work directly on live legal matters involving the firm’s institutional clients, with exposure to banking, debt recovery, insurance and insolvency practice and the relevant courts and tribunals.
