NLU Delhi invites teams from invited institutions to the 3rd Vidhi Pragati National IP Moot Court Competition 2027.
About NLU Delhi
National Law University Delhi was established by Act 1 of 2008. The university offers interdisciplinary legal education and combines theoretical study with practical applications. Its Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC), established in 2015, conducts research and dialogue on innovation, intellectual property and competition through empirical and interdisciplinary approaches.
The DPIIT Chair on Intellectual Property Rights at NLU Delhi was established in October 2018. Its work covers intellectual property education, research, public policy and outreach. The Chair also organises educational events for students, researchers and practitioners.
About the Competition
The Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition and the IPR Chair at NLU Delhi, in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, are organising the third edition of Vidhi Pragati: National IP Moot Court Competition.
The competition brings law students together to examine contemporary intellectual property disputes and evolving legal principles. Participants can develop their advocacy and research skills while engaging with intellectual property law and jurisprudence.
Theme
The theme of this edition is “Copyright and Trademark”. It focuses on contemporary issues involving creativity, innovation, branding and intellectual property rights.
Eligibility and Team Composition
- Participation is restricted to invited institutions listed in the official registration form.
- The team registration form requires details of two speakers and one researcher.
- Teams must provide institutional and faculty contact information along with a student point of contact. A WhatsApp number for the student contact is mandatory.
Registration Documents
- A bona-fide letter in PDF, JPG or PNG format, up to 4 MB.
- A formal photograph of each speaker and the researcher in JPG, PNG or WebP format, up to 4 MB.
- Each participant’s full name, course, year of study, contact number and email address.

Teams from invited institutions should complete the official NLU Delhi competition registration form, fill all mandatory fields and upload the required documents. Select the institution from the available list and provide the faculty and student contact details. Review the team information before submitting the registration.
