About Chhanv Foundation

Chhanv Foundation is an Indian non-profit supporting people who have survived acid attacks. Its rehabilitation work brings together healthcare, legal assistance, educational support and opportunities to earn a livelihood. The organisation works from its headquarters in Noida’s Sector 46 and traces its advocacy to the Stop Acid Attacks campaign launched in 2013.

Its Sheroes Hangout cafés provide employment and a public platform for survivors. The cafés also host discussions and awareness activities, connecting the foundation’s rehabilitation work with wider conversations about violence and social inclusion.

About the Opportunity

Two paid legal internship opportunities involve survivor-related legal and programme work.

Mode and Location

Offline, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM.

Duration

Six months initially; an additional six months may follow, depending on performance, conduct, capability and organisational needs.

Eligibility Criteria

Law students or recent graduates, preferably graduates, with research and documentation skills, English and Hindi proficiency, and competence in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Programme & Outreach: field visits, survivor case coordination, government liaison, legal research, compensation and RTI support.
• Research & Programme Support: desk-only research, case records, compensation, RTI work and official correspondence.

Stipend

• Programme & Outreach: ₹7,000/month.
• Research & Programme Support: ₹5,000/month.

Payment depends on satisfactory work. Approved official travel is reimbursable under organisational policy.

Selection Process

CV screening followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.
