About the Opportunity
The Legal Department seeks an experienced Employment Law Paralegal to support internal employment matters, workplace compliance and litigation management. The role works closely with in-house employment counsel, Human Resources and business leaders to manage workplace legal risk, maintain compliance across jurisdictions and support internal processes.

Employment Type
Full-time. The position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Salary
USD 68,000–85,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Four to six years of paralegal experience specialising in employment law, with a mix of law firm and in-house corporate legal department experience preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association-approved programme is preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including the FLSA, FMLA, Title VII, ADA, ADEA and state wage-and-hour laws.
- Proficiency with legal research databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis and with document management systems.
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive employee matters.
- Strong written communication, proofreading and organisational skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting, updating and reviewing company handbooks, employment policies across multiple states, code of conduct updates and standard operating procedures for compliance with evolving employment laws.
- Draft, tailor and track standardised and custom employment agreements, severance agreements and releases in compliance with applicable law, including the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act and state-specific rules.
- Act as the primary contact for third-party subpoenas, employment record requests and agency inquiries, coordinating document collection and redaction.
- Support in-house counsel and outside defence counsel with employment claims and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or state agency charges.
- Manage litigation holds, e-discovery collection and document productions for litigation and disputes before litigation.
- Assist with workplace investigations by coordinating interviews, taking detailed notes, compiling evidence files and organising final reports.
- Review engagements to assess employee or independent contractor classification under federal, state and local legal tests, and maintain classification documentation.
- Research statutory, regulatory and case law developments involving wage and hour rules, leave laws, and labour and employment compliance.
