About Kristu Jayanti School of Law
Kristu Jayanti School of Law, Bengaluru, was established in 2017. It offers five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes, along with an LL.M. programme. Its ADR Cell organises mediation competitions, workshops and expert sessions on alternative dispute resolution.
About the Competition
The ADR Cell of Kristu Jayanti School of Law is organising ACCORDO 2.0, the second edition of its inter-institutional mediation competition. Participants will act as mediators, clients and counsel in simulated mediation rounds, developing negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. The competition will bring together law students from institutions across India.
Mode and Venue
The competition will be conducted in hybrid mode. The inauguration and preliminary rounds will take place online on 15 October 2026. Advanced rounds will be held offline on 27 and 28 October 2026 at the Central Campus, K. Narayanapura, Kothanur, Bengaluru-560077, Karnataka.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students enrolled in three-year or five-year law programmes at universities or colleges recognised by the Bar Council of India may participate.
- Each institution may register a maximum of two teams.
- Cross-institutional teams are not permitted.
Team Composition
Each team must comprise three members from the same institution: one mediator and a mediating pair consisting of a client and counsel. Team composition and roles cannot be changed after final registration. Teams may not be accompanied by a coach or instructor.
Competition Structure
- Preliminary rounds: Each registered team will compete in two online rounds of 30 minutes each.
- Pre-quarter-finals: The top 20 teams will compete offline in 30-minute rounds.
- Quarter-finals: Eight teams will compete in 30-minute knockout rounds.
- Semi-finals: Four teams will compete in 45-minute knockout rounds.
- Final: Two teams will compete in a 60-minute round.
Registration Fees
The preliminary-round registration fee is ₹2,000 per team. Teams qualifying for advanced rounds must pay an additional ₹3,000 per team. Payments may be made through bank transfer or UPI; payment details will be shared after confirmation of provisional registration. Fees are non-refundable.
Awards and Certificates
- Best Mediating Pair: ₹30,000.
- Best Mediator: ₹15,000.
- Runner-up Mediating Pair: ₹20,000.
- Runner-up Mediator: ₹10,000.
Participation certificates will be issued to all participants. Awards include cash prizes, trophies and certificates of merit.

- Registration deadline: 7 October 2026.
- Release of preliminary problem: 8 October 2026.
- Last date to seek clarifications: 8 October 2026.
- Release of clarifications: 10 October 2026.
- Inauguration and online preliminary rounds: 15 October 2026.
- Offline advanced rounds: 27 and 28 October 2026.
- Valedictory ceremony: 28 October 2026.
Accommodation
Dormitory accommodation will be available for participants qualifying for advanced rounds at ₹112 per participant per night. Accommodation is not available to teams from Bengaluru. Separate arrangements will be made for women and men, with further details and an accommodation form circulated by the organisers.
Competition Rules
English is the official language. Participants must wear business formals with a black blazer and produce their college identity card and bonafide certificate for verification. Electronic devices are prohibited during rounds. Participants must maintain professional conduct and must not contact judges directly.

Application Procedure
Interested teams may register through the official registration form by 7 October 2026. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. After registration, the ADR Cell will email confirmation and allot team codes. Teams should review the brochure for the complete competition rules and registration instructions.
