About National Dope Testing Laboratory
National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) is an autonomous body of the Government of India, based in New Delhi. The World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited laboratory conducts human sports dope testing and allied scientific research. Its work includes research in dope science and collaboration with national and international institutions.
About the Opportunity
NDTL invites eligible Indian citizens to apply for three Research Associate-I positions under Advertisement No. 03/2026, dated 3 October 2026. These are scientific research appointments on a contractual basis.
Location
National Dope Testing Laboratory, J.L.N. Stadium Complex, Gate No. 10, Lodhi Road, New Delhi–110003.
Duration
The initial contract is for one year and may be extended for up to two additional years, subject to satisfactory performance and conduct. Performance will be reviewed annually.
Remuneration
The consolidated monthly stipend is ₹58,000, plus House Rent Allowance as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Applied Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology or Forensic Science; OR three years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after M.Pharm.
- Applicants must also have at least one research paper in a Science Citations Indexed (SCI) journal with an impact factor greater than 1.0.
- Maximum age: 35 years. Relaxation of up to three years applies to OBC (NCL) candidates and five years to SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. Candidates should document relevant qualifications and experience beyond the minimum requirements. Shortlisted candidates will be listed on NDTL’s website and informed of their interview date by email. No travel or daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
