Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the year 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence at imparting value-based legal education to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University aims to emerge as a unique institution for imparting legal education which is socially relevant and professionally competent.

About the Opportunity
The India Juris-DNLU National Moot Court Competition, 2026 is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings, allowing participants to develop their advocacy skills and legal acumen while fostering camaraderie among peers. Competitors will have the chance to represent both sides of the case, engaging in extensive research and preparing written submissions, including memorials that outline their legal arguments.
Throughout the competition, participants will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprising seasoned legal practitioners, academics and industry experts. Manupatra is the Knowledge Partner of the competition.
Format and Mode
The competition begins with Round-I, a Memorial Qualification Round conducted on the basis of the memorials for both the sides, from which twenty teams will qualify for Round-II. Round-II will be held offline in the premises of the University and is divided into Preliminary Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds and Final Rounds.
Event Dates
The competition shall be organised from 20th to 22nd November, 2026. The Preliminary Rounds and Semi-Final Round will take place on 21st November, 2026, and the Final Round and Valedictory Ceremony will be held on 22nd November, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Competition shall be open to students who are pursuing an integrated 5-year LL.B. programme in India or a 3-year LL.B. programme in India.
- An institution shall be entitled to send not more than two teams to the Competition.
- Each team shall constitute a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members. In a team of three members, two shall be designated as speakers and one as a researcher; in a team of two members, both shall be speakers.
Registration Fee
All teams registering for the competition shall be charged an initial fee of INR 1,500/-. Teams shortlisted after the Memorial Qualification Round are further required to pay INR 6,000/- (inclusive of accommodation and food) to complete the final registration. Prior payment of the registration fee is required in order to submit the online registration form.

- Best Memorial (Petitioner): INR 15,000/-

Application Procedure
Each institution must first provisionally register itself through its designated moot court society for the Competition by filling out the Google Form. Only upon the confirmation of the provisional registration by the Administrators shall each team register for the Competition by filling out the registration form before 12th October, 2026.
The last date of registration and payment for Round-I is 12th October, 2026.
