About the Office of the Government Pleader

The Office of the Government Pleader, under Advocate Subashini, works on Government litigation, including matters before the Hon’ble High Court. Advocate Subashini invites law students to intern with the Office and gain practical, hands-on exposure to various aspects of legal practice and Government litigation.

About the Internship

The Office is currently inviting applications from law students for this internship. The internship offers law students practical exposure to legal practice and Government litigation through ongoing cases, research work and court proceedings, under the guidance of the Office. Since the work is primarily research-based, interns will spend substantial time on legal research and the preparation of case-related materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

During the internship, students will have opportunities to:

• Assist in ongoing cases and litigation matters.
• Undertake legal research and prepare research materials.
• Review and prepare case-related documents and materials.
• Follow up on matters before the Hon’ble High Court.
• Attend court proceedings.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students pursuing their 3rd, 4th or Final Year of Law are eligible to apply.
• Candidates with strong research skills will be preferred, as the work is primarily research-based.

Duration

The internship is for one month. It may be extended upon request, subject to the availability and requirements of the Office.

Internship Certificate

An Internship Certificate will be issued to interns upon successful completion of the internship period.
