About the Centre for Studies in Victimology, TNNLU

The Centre for Studies in Victimology (CSV) at Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli, has announced the launch of its first newsletter. The newsletter aims to provide a platform for students to explore and discuss emerging issues concerning victims of crime, victim rights, access to justice, victim assistance, legal protections and contemporary developments in the field of victimology.

About the Opportunity

As part of this initiative, the Centre invites students of TNNLU to contribute original, engaging and well-researched blogs on contemporary issues in victimology. The Centre will review the submissions received and select the Top 10 blogs for publication in its inaugural newsletter.

Theme

The theme of the call is Contemporary Issues in Victimology. Students are encouraged to submit blogs that offer a critical perspective on current and relevant issues in the field. Topics may include, among others:

• Emerging forms of victimisation
• Victim rights and remedies
• Child and women victims
• Cyber victimisation
• Victim compensation
• Access to justice
• Restorative justice
• Vulnerable victims and victim assistance
• Other contemporary concerns relating to victims and the criminal justice system

Submission Guidelines

• The word limit for submissions is 700–1000 words.
• All submissions should be original, relevant and appropriately referenced.
• Contributors are encouraged to support their discussion with relevant legal provisions, case law, academic literature, reports, empirical findings or other credible sources.

Selection Process

The Centre will review the submissions received and select the Top 10 blogs for publication in its inaugural newsletter. Selection will be based on the relevance of the topic, originality of thought, quality of analysis, clarity of presentation, and appropriate use of sources.

The submission deadline is 5 October 2026.

Application Procedure

Interested contributors from TNNLU must email their blog submissions to csv@tnnlu.ac.in by 5 October 2026. Selected blogs will be published in the inaugural newsletter of the Centre.
