About the Society for Insolvency, Bankruptcy, and Restructuring Laws, NUJS

The Society for Insolvency, Bankruptcy, and Restructuring Laws, NUJS is formed to discuss legal, socio-economic, and business issues related to insolvency, bankruptcy, and restructuring at the national and international levels. The society aims to keep the wider community updated through blog posts, newsletters, online talks, workshops, and short interviews with experts on contemporary developments in the field.

About the Blog Submission Opportunity

The SIBRL Blog invites submissions from students, academicians, and practitioners on insolvency, bankruptcy, restructuring, and allied laws in India and abroad. Contributors may write about a topic that is important to them, within their expertise, or of significant interest. The blog welcomes accessible writing and does not require every submission to follow a strictly formal academic tone.

Eligibility

• Students, academicians, and practitioners may submit.
• Submissions should concern insolvency, bankruptcy, restructuring, or allied laws in India or abroad.
• Formal academic, informal, and conversational approaches are welcome when they present a clear and engaging discussion.

Submission Guidelines

• Contributors should generally keep posts between 1,500 and 2,000 words.
• Longer ideas may be divided into multiple posts that develop the topic or argument.
• Submissions should begin with a clear and engaging introduction, outline the key points and argument early, and follow a coherent structure.
• Subheadings, images, and graphics may be used where appropriate, subject to applicable copyright limitations.
• Hyperlinks are preferred to footnotes or in-text citations wherever possible.
• The manuscript should be original and suitable for publication on the SIBRL Blog.

Formatting Guidelines

• Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, justified alignment, and 1.5 line spacing.
• Submit the article as a Microsoft Word .doc attachment, with the article title as the file name.
• Include a covering letter containing the author or authors’ names, institutional affiliation, title and category of submission, and contact address, email address, and phone number.
• The article body must not identify the author or institutional affiliation; those details should appear in the covering letter.

Editorial Process

All posts are edited by the editorial collective to maintain consistent quality and to help contributors develop engaging and intellectually rigorous writing. The editorial board will communicate its decision within three weeks, and that decision will be final.

Rolling Submission Policy

The Blog Team follows a rolling submission policy. Contributors may submit their articles throughout the year.

Copyright

Copyright ownership remains with the author. By submitting a post for consideration, the author grants the society a licence to publish it anywhere in the world, in any medium, for the full term of copyright, and agrees to the public re-use of the published post. Other rights relating to the posts and the blog vest with NUJS SIBRL.

Authors may submit their blog posts by email to sibrl@nujs.edu. Attach the article as a Microsoft Word .doc file and include a covering letter with the required author, affiliation, submission, and contact details. The article body must not contain identifying information. Use the article title as the file name.
