About the National Legal Rights Consortium

The National Legal Rights Consortium operates under the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), a national business chamber for women. WICCI works to boost and build women’s entrepreneurship and businesses through engagement with government, institutions, global trade and networks.

WICCI’s network supports women-led initiatives, advocacy and professional collaboration across diverse sectors. The National Legal Rights Consortium brings this platform to legal rights, public policy and community-focused work.

About the Membership Opportunity

The Delhi Legal Rights Consortium, under the aegis of NLRC WICCI, invites online applications for membership in its National Council for the 2026–27 term. The membership is open to female legal professionals, scholars and advocates dedicated to promoting and protecting legal rights nationwide.

Members will contribute to legal rights advocacy, policy initiatives, legal literacy and community outreach. The role provides an opportunity to participate in discussions and projects connected with constitutional rights, human rights, public policy and systemic justice.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the President, Vice President and council leadership to formulate strategic roadmaps and policy initiatives.
• Work with council members to develop a solutions-oriented legal team.
• Lead legal literacy campaigns and community outreach programmes.
• Draft policy briefs, public-private partnership frameworks and reform proposals for submission to government bodies and industry stakeholders.

Areas of Engagement

• Advocating for legal rights and raising awareness about fundamental and statutory rights.
• Providing pro bono legal assistance and resources.
• Engaging with legislators and government bodies.
• Monitoring legal developments, human rights violations and systemic injustice.

Eligibility Criteria

• Female law students, advocates and legal professionals based in or originally from Delhi.
• Prior internship or work experience with law firms, legal organisations or advocates.
• Demonstrated interest or emerging expertise in constitutional law, human rights or related legal fields.
• Strong proficiency in legal research, writing and drafting.
• Ability to engage in legal discussions, public policy debates and advocacy initiatives.
• Willingness to take on leadership roles in legal projects and community outreach programmes.
• Familiarity with legislative processes, policymaking and pro bono legal initiatives.
• Additional experience in social media management, public relations or visual communication and graphic design is preferred.
• Ability to commit sufficient time to regular council meetings, projects and stakeholder engagements.

Tenure

The membership tenure will be for one year, covering the 2026–27 term.

Mode

The membership will be conducted in hybrid mode.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful fulfilment of the full one-year tenure.
