About the Opportunity
BNS Legal is hiring for two roles at its Fort, Mumbai office:
- Junior Advocate – Full Time
- Law Intern
The firm’s office at Fort sits in the heart of Mumbai’s legal district, offering extensive court and litigation exposure to its team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Junior Advocate
- Handle day-to-day litigation and non-litigation matters.
- Draft legal documents including plaints, written statements, legal notices, agreements, MOUs, applications and other pleadings.
- Conduct legal research and case-law analysis, and attend court hearings while assisting senior advocates.
- Coordinate with clients and ensure timely follow-up of matters.
- Maintain proper compliance with court procedures, filing requirements and deadlines.
Law Intern
- Assist in legal drafting, case summaries and documentation.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case-law notes.
- Assist the legal team in civil, criminal, corporate and other matters.
- Accompany advocates to courts and observe proceedings before the High Court, City Civil Court, Sessions Court, MM Courts, Family Courts and Labour Courts.
- Assist in day-to-day office and case-management activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Junior Advocate
- LL.B. degree
- Valid Bar Council Registration / Sanad
- Experience of 1–3 years in litigation or non-litigation; freshers with strong internship experience and a valid Sanad may also apply
- Good drafting and legal research skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and legal research databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong commitment, discipline and willingness to learn
Law Intern
- Law students and fresh law graduates
