Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is recruiting Senior Section Officers (Legal) on a contract basis, with offline applications due by September 22.

About the Opportunity

Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) has notified Recruitment Advertisement No. NMRC/HR/Rectt./05/2026, dated August 22, 2026, for 34 posts of Senior Section Engineer and Senior Section Officer across nine categories, including two posts of Senior Section Officer (Legal). The recruitment will be made on a direct contract basis in the IDA pay scale, with an initial contract period of three years, extendable as per NMRC’s requirements. This is a non-executive, senior supervisory level recruitment, and a contractual appointment does not confer any right to regularization in NMRC.

Vacancies

There are two posts of Senior Section Officer (Legal), both unreserved. The remaining posts cover Senior Section Engineer (Civil, Track, Rolling Stock, AFC & Telecom, Electrical, Signaling & Telecom) and Senior Section Officer (Finance and HR).

Eligibility Criteria

• A full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3-year regular course or 5-year integrated regular course)
• Six years of supervisory or above-level experience in legal cases, legal documentation, contract drafting, statutory compliance under various Acts, and RTI matters
• Maximum age of 40 years as on the closing date

Only candidates presently working in the Central Government, State Government, PSU, Railways, Metro Rail Company or other eligible government bodies, meeting the prescribed present pay scale and experience conditions as on the closing date, are eligible to apply. Private-sector experience does not count as post-qualification experience, and freshers, Management Trainee and Graduate Engineer Trainee experience, apprenticeship experience, and candidates working on consolidated-pay contract basis in government sector are not eligible.

Pay Scale

The position carries a pay scale of Rs. 46,000 – 1,45,000 (IDA pattern).

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of application scrutiny and eligibility, qualification and experience. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification with original certificates before the interview, followed by a written test and/or personal interview at NMRC’s discretion, assessing knowledge, skill, experience, aptitude and physical ability, and a medical examination after selection as per NMRC rules. The entire selection process will be conducted offline, and outstation candidates must make their own travel and stay arrangements, with no reimbursement payable.

Merely meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call for the interview or written test; where applications are numerous, NMRC may shortlist based on higher qualification or experience.

Surety Bond and Contract Period

Selected candidates must execute a surety bond of Rs. 1,50,000 along with a minimum service commitment of three years, which may include applicable training costs and GST. Employees will undergo a probation period as per Corporation policy after joining, and a notice period of three months is required before resignation.

Application Procedure

Candidates must apply offline only. The prescribed application format should be downloaded, filled with all required details, and sent along with self-attested copies of documents through Registered Post, Speed Post or Courier so that it reaches the NMRC office on or before September 22, 2026. E-mail or hand delivery is not allowed. The envelope should be superscribed: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______ (Post Code No. ___) OF ADVT. NMRC/HR/RECTT/05/2026”.

Documents required include Class 10 and 12 certificates, graduation and post-graduation certificates, appointment, joining, increment and promotion orders, proof of present pay scale, service and experience certificates, pay slips of the last three months, APAR/ACR of the last four years, Aadhaar card and applicable category certificates.
