District Legal Services Authority, Mandi is inviting applications for the empanelment of Para Legal Volunteers in District Mandi, H.P.
About the Opportunity
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mandi has invited applications from interested eligible persons to provide free legal services under the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987, by manning the existing Village Legal Care and Support Centre at G.P. Thaltukhod, Tehsil Padhar, District Mandi, H.P.
Selected persons will be empanelled as Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) to support the delivery of legal services at the village level.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications may be submitted by persons belonging to the following groups:
- Teachers, including retired teachers
- Retired government servants and senior citizens
- Anganwari workers
- Doctors and physicians
- Students, including law students till they enroll as lawyers
- Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and clubs
- Members of women neighbourhood groups, Maithri Sanghams and other self-help groups
- Persons from marginalised and vulnerable groups
- Educated persons with good behaviour
- Persons serving long-term sentences in prisons
Honorarium
The work of Para Legal Volunteers does not carry any salary, remuneration or wages, except honorarium as per the rules and instructions issued by the H.P. State Legal Services Authority, Shimla from time to time.

Application Procedure
Willing persons may send or submit their applications physically or through e-mail at secy-dlsa-man-hp@gov.in to the Authority on or before September 23, 2026, in the prescribed format (Annexure-A).
The application format requires particulars including name, educational qualification, mobile number, e-mail address, address, details of any training programme attended, category, details of any prior empanelment as a Para Legal Volunteer, social work done for the upliftment of marginalised and weaker sections of society, and the preferred place of work at the district, taluk or village level, along with a passport-size photograph and signature.
No application received after the due date shall be entertained, and incomplete applications will be rejected without assigning any reason.
