About the Opportunity
Mensa Brands is seeking a Legal Operations & Research Intern to join its Legal, IP & Policy Team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain practical experience at the intersection of corporate legal strategy, project management, and legal research.
Location
The internship will be work from office, based in Bangalore, India.
Duration
The internship will be for a duration of 6 months, on a full-time basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and organise the central legal repository, IP filings, contract archives, and policy databases.
- Create and update tracking systems for active contracts, execution status, policy updates, and ongoing cases.
- Assist the team in updating standardised drafts, legal templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal policy documents, including CLM implementation.
- Conduct research on legal, regulatory, intellectual property (IP), and policy topics.
- Assist in structuring key legal initiatives by breaking down broad objectives into clear task maps, actionable steps, and deliverables.
- Monitor project milestones, follow up on pending action items, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates pursuing a Law degree in Bangalore.
- Strong analytical, organisational, research, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or MS Office.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
