About the Opportunity

The organisation is offering a three-month legal internship for final-year law students and recent LLB/LLM graduates. The internship will provide exposure to financial services, derivatives, and trading documentation.

Interns will assist with reviewing and analysing derivative agreements, drafting amendments and ancillary documents, supporting client and counterparty onboarding, reviewing legal provisions relating to derivative products, conducting cross-jurisdictional legal research, and assisting senior team members on live projects and ad hoc legal matters.

Duration

The internship is for a period of three months.

Mode

The internship will be conducted in offline mode.

Location

The internship is based in Gurugram.

Shift

The shift timings are from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Eligibility Criteria

LLB or LLM graduates, including freshers.
Candidates with a keen interest in financial services and trading documentation.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Prior internship experience with a law firm or reputed organisation is an advantage but is not mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities

Legal Research

Conduct legal research across jurisdictions including the US, UK, EMEA, and APAC.
Research legal issues relating to financial services, derivatives, and trading documentation.

Drafting

Assist with drafting amendments and ancillary documentation for trading agreements.
Review legal clauses, representations and warranties, and confirmations.

Corporate Advisory

Review and analyse derivative agreements and related legal documents.
Work on documentation relating to derivative products such as NDFs, Index Options, and Index Swaps.

Case Management

Support client and counterparty onboarding processes in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Assist senior team members on live projects and ad hoc legal matters.
