Technology Development Board invites applications for two Assistant Law Officer positions on a three-year contractual basis.

About Technology Development Board

The Technology Development Board (TDB) is a statutory body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The Board has invited applications from Indian citizens for the position of Assistant Law Officer on a purely contractual basis.

About the Opportunity

TDB is seeking eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Law Officer. The appointment will be made on a purely contract basis for a period of three years.

The position involves legal work in areas including corporate and company law, project financing, arbitration, NPA-related matters and recoveries.

Number of Positions

  • 2 positions.

Duration

  • Three years.
  • The appointment is on a purely contractual basis.

Salary

  • Consolidated emoluments of ₹70,000 to ₹90,000 per month.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Must be up to 40 years of age.
  • Must possess an LL.B. or Integrated LL.B. degree.
  • Must have a minimum of five years of field experience.
  • The experience should have a focus on Corporate/Company Law.

The upper age limit is determined as on 1 July 2026.

Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are preferred:

  • Company project financing.
  • Arbitration.
  • NPA-related cases.
  • Recoveries and related matters under general legal guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

Corporate & Company Law

The role requires legal experience with a focus on corporate and company law matters.

Project Financing

Candidates with experience in dealing with company project financing matters are preferred.

Arbitration & NPA Matters

Experience in arbitration and cases relating to Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) is desirable.

Recoveries

Experience in handling recovery-related matters under general legal guidelines is considered desirable.

Selection Procedure

Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee.

If the number of applications is large, TDB may restrict the number of candidates called for interview through a shortlisting process based on defined criteria. This may include qualifications, prescribed experience and qualifications or experience in particular fields based on the organization’s requirements.

The date and time of the interview will be communicated to shortlisted candidates through email.

Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The prescribed application form requires details relating to personal information, educational qualifications, employment history, total experience after the essential qualification, research work or experience, and other information supporting the candidate’s suitability.
