About the Opportunity
Hirani & Associates is inviting applications for a secondment with a leading talent and artist management company in Andheri, Mumbai. The secondee will be embedded within the company’s legal team and work at the intersection of entertainment, brands and talent.
The client represents prominent names across film, television, music, sports and digital media. The role covers legal work related to talent representation, artist agreements, brand endorsements, appearances and events, content collaborations, and the protection and commercial use of artists’ rights. It offers early-career lawyers hands-on experience across a range of legal functions.
Location
The secondment is in Andheri, Mumbai.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified lawyer with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience; experience in media, entertainment or intellectual property law is preferred.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen interest in entertainment and talent management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Talent and Artist Agreements
- Draft, review and negotiate talent management agreements, endorsement and brand partnership contracts, appearance and event agreements, and influencer or digital collaboration agreements.
Artists’ Rights and Intellectual Property
- Advise on the protection and commercial use of artists’ image, likeness and personality rights.
- Provide legal support on intellectual property matters, including copyright, trademarks and licensing.
Legal Operations and Dispute Resolution
- Support day-to-day legal needs, including contract management and documentation.
- Assist in resolving disputes and coordinate with external counsel where required.
- Work with talent managers, the business team and external stakeholders to resolve legal issues efficiently.
