About the Opportunity
The Moot Court Committee of Central Law College, Lucknow is organising the Central Law College National Moot Court Competition 2026.
The competition will provide law students with an opportunity to improve their legal research, memorial drafting and oral advocacy skills. The moot problem will involve constitutional and criminal law issues relating to physician-administered active euthanasia, the right to die with dignity, Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

- Rounds: Researchers’ Test, preliminary rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final round
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch and high tea will be provided on competition days
- Accommodation: Not provided, but assistance and guidance regarding accommodation arrangements will be offered
Eligibility Criteria
- The competition is open to bona fide undergraduate law students.
- Participants must be enrolled in a recognised college, institution or university in India.
- Each team must consist of two or three members.
- A three-member team must have two speakers and one researcher.
- A two-member team must have two speakers, with one speaker also designated as the researcher.
Registration Fee
- Regular Fee: ₹2,500 per team, inclusive of GST
- Early Bird Fee: ₹2,200 per team, inclusive of GST, until September 5, 2026
- The registration fee is non-refundable after registration.
Prizes
- Winning Team: ₹25,000, trophy, medal and certificate
- Runners-Up: ₹15,000, trophy, medal and certificate
- Best Speaker: ₹3,000, trophy, medal and certificate
- Best Memorial: ₹3,000, trophy, medal and certificate
- Best Researcher: ₹3,000, trophy, medal and certificate
All participants will receive certificates. Winners, runners-up and semi-finalists will receive medals.
