Canonsphere is organising its 2nd Debate Competition on October 3 and 4, 2026, with online participation via Zoom.

About Canonsphere

Canonsphere is a legal EdTech platform offering training programmes, workshops and seminars in online and offline modes. It also provides startup consultancy and freelancing services within the legal domain.

The competition is being organised with CanonHour as the media partner and Canonsphere Law Review as the knowledge partner.

About the Opportunity

Canonsphere is inviting students to participate in its 2nd Debate Competition, which aims to encourage analytical thinking, public speaking and constructive debate on legal and societal issues.

The competition will provide participants with an opportunity to engage with contemporary legal and policy challenges while developing their oratory and advocacy skills.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students pursuing any undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised university can participate.
  • Professionals are not eligible.

Team Composition

  • Individual participation is allowed.
  • Team participation is also permitted.

Mode

The competition will be conducted online through Zoom.

Important Dates

  • The last date for registration is October 1, 2026.
  • The clarification session and inauguration will be held on October 2, 2026.
  • The preliminary rounds will be held on October 3, 2026.
  • The semi-finals and finals will be held on October 4, 2026.
  • Results will be declared on October 4, 2026.

Registration Fee

  • Individual participation: β‚Ή250.
  • Team participation: β‚Ή400.

Participants must upload proof of payment during registration.

Prizes

  • Winner: Trophy and Certificate.
  • Runner-up: Trophy and Certificate.
  • Best Rebuttal: Certificate.
  • Best Orator: Certificate.
  • All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
