Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) is a public National Law University located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2005, the University provides undergraduate and postgraduate legal education and is fully funded by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
About the Opportunity
The RMLNLU Law Review has invited original and unpublished submissions for Volume XVII (2026–27). The annual peer-reviewed journal, published by the Journal Committee of RMLNLU, seeks scholarly contributions engaging with contemporary legal issues and developments.
Submissions are invited from law students and legal professionals in India and abroad under the following categories:
- Articles: 5,000–7,000 words
- Essays: 4,000–5,000 words
- Case Notes/Comments: 2,000–3,000 words
- Book Reviews: 2,000–3,000 words
An abstract of approximately 250–300 words and five keywords must be included in the same Word document as the submission. The submission must be original, unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Review Process
The review process will comprise three stages, with members of the Advisory Board closely involved in reviewing submissions. Authors will be informed about the status of their manuscripts at every stage.
Eligibility Criteria
- Submissions are open to law students and professionals from India and abroad.
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
- Co-authorship is not permitted for Book Reviews and Case Notes/Comments.
- Only one submission per author or team of co-authors is permitted.
- Submissions must maintain a maximum plagiarism limit of 15%.
- Submissions must maintain a maximum AI-generated content limit of 15%.

Formatting
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 points
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Alignment: Justified
Footnotes
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 10 points
- Line spacing: 1.0
- Citations must strictly follow the latest OSCOLA (4th edition) format.
- Endnotes and speaking or descriptive footnotes are not permitted.
General Requirements
- Submissions may address any contemporary legal issue.
- Word limits exclude footnotes and the abstract.
- The title must be bold, underlined, in capitals, 16-point font and centre-aligned.
- Headings must be bold, in capitals, 14-point font and left-aligned.
- The manuscript must not directly or indirectly reveal the identity of the author(s).
- The submission must demonstrate originality of thought, critical evaluation and careful interpretation.
