The Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP) at KU Leuven is a research unit of the Faculty of Law and Criminological Sciences. Its work focuses on advancing legal knowledge in intellectual property and ICT law.

CiTiP has more than 30 years of experience in research covering intellectual property and information, communication and technology law, including privacy, cybersecurity, biotechnology and legal and ethical aspects of innovation, information and data. The centre has a research community of more than 90 researchers and fellows.

About the Opportunity

CiTiP is inviting applications for a full-time Legal Researcher position under the FORTIFY European project. The project examines the intersection of intellectual property, trade secrets, innovation protection and health data governance in the context of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

The researcher will contribute to developing legal and governance frameworks supporting the implementation of the EHDS and trusted health data sharing across Europe. The role involves working with academic, clinical, industry and policy partners and translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical guidance for different stakeholders.
