About the Opportunity
The Centre for Environmental Law, Advocacy and Research (CELAR) at NLUJAA invites original blog submissions addressing contemporary issues in environmental law and related fields. CELAR Blog provides a platform for legal analysis covering emerging conflicts, recent cases, legislative developments and evolving environmental law issues.
Authors may contribute independently or with one co-author. Submissions will undergo AI and plagiarism screening as well as a double-blind peer review process before a publication decision is made.
Workload
The article should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words. Longer submissions may be considered with permission from the editors.

The submissions should fall within the broad scope of environmental law. Suggested areas include:

- Climate Change Law
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Sustainable Development
- Pollution Control and Remediation
- Environmental Justice

Authors may explore other topics provided they fall within the scope of the CELAR Blog.
Eligibility Criteria
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
- The submission must be original.
- The manuscript must comply with the specified formatting and anonymity requirements.
- The content must not contain offensive, abusive, derogatory or defamatory material.
- Authors are responsible for any legal violations arising from their submissions.
- Authors must work with the editors to rectify or retract published work if errors or inaccuracies are subsequently identified.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
Authors are expected to develop substantive legal analysis on contemporary environmental law issues, including emerging conflicts, recent cases, legislative developments and evolving legal frameworks.
Drafting
Contributors must prepare an original article of 1,000–1,500 words in MS Word format. The document should use Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
The file should be named in the format “Title_CELAR Blog”. Authors’ names and affiliations must not appear in the manuscript to preserve anonymity during the review process.
Citation and Review
Hyperlinks are encouraged. Where sources cannot be hyperlinked, citations should follow OSCOLA 4th edition style in footnotes, using Times New Roman, size 10 and single spacing.
Submissions will be screened for plagiarism and excessive AI use and will undergo double-blind peer review. Non-compliance with the guidelines may result in delays or revisions.
