About the Opportunity
Google is hiring an AML Specialist for its Payments Compliance team in Gurugram. The role involves ensuring that Googleβs products and services comply with applicable regulations and internal policy requirements.
The position requires knowledge of AML/CFT regulatory requirements, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA), financial investigations and suspicious transaction reporting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Four years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal or consulting.
- Experience in KYC onboarding checks and due diligence.
- Experience in AML transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting requirements, including filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of experience in regulatory compliance with a specialisation in KYC/AML monitoring.
- Experience organising data and applying business context to improve processes or operations.
- Experience working with or strong exposure to highly regulated sectors, such as the payments industry.
- Expertise in regulatory guidelines relating to KYC, AML, CFT and PMLA Rules.
- Strong attention to detail and an action-oriented approach.
Roles & Responsibilities
Compliance
- Assist with maintaining oversight of Payments Compliance legal and contractual obligations in India.
- Ensure policies and procedures are effective and reflect current compliance obligations.
- Monitor, report on and help manage risks.
KYC & Transaction Monitoring
- Oversee the merchant onboarding and transaction monitoring programme in India.
- Fulfil end-to-end reporting obligations.
- Conduct transaction monitoring escalation reviews and SAR filing.
Cross-Functional Compliance
- Lead controls initiatives with cross-functional partners, including Engineering, Legal, Operations, Finance and Product Management.
