About Madhyastha – Centre of Excellence in ADR

Madhyastha – Centre of Excellence in ADR is an academic centre under the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Chandigarh University. The Centre focuses on alternative dispute resolution and related academic and research initiatives.

The Centre is inviting contributions for an upcoming international edited volume titled β€œADR and Emerging Global Trends.”

About the Opportunity

Madhyastha – Centre of Excellence in ADR, University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University, is inviting original and unpublished chapters for its upcoming international edited volume, β€œADR and Emerging Global Trends.”

The volume will be published by San International Scientific Publications and will examine contemporary and emerging developments in alternative dispute resolution from interdisciplinary and international perspectives.

Authors are required to mention the theme number under which their chapter has been written. The listed themes are illustrative and not exhaustive.

Deadline

The deadline for submission of the full chapter along with the abstract is September 10, 2026.

The edited volume is scheduled to be published on December 31, 2026.

Practice Areas

Technology and ADR

Authors may explore emerging trends in alternative dispute resolution, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), and the relationship between artificial intelligence and ADR.

International and Cross-Border Dispute Resolution

This theme covers international commercial arbitration, international investment arbitration, cross-border mediation and conciliation, ADR in international trade, and ADR in digital commerce.

Sector-Specific Disputes

Authors may examine employment and labour dispute resolution, healthcare and medical disputes, family and community mediation, and sports arbitration.

Policy and Comparative Perspectives

This theme includes indigenous and traditional dispute resolution, comparative approaches to ADR, institutional and ad hoc arbitration, legislative and policy developments, and future directions in ADR.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Chapters must be original and unpublished.
  • A maximum of three authors is permitted for each chapter.
  • Student chapters must be co-authored with a faculty member.
  • Individual manuscripts submitted solely by students will not be accepted.
  • Authors must mention the theme number under which their chapter has been written.

Roles & Responsibilities

Chapter Submission

Authors must submit the full chapter along with an abstract by September 10, 2026.

Theme Identification

Authors are required to clearly mention the relevant theme number under which their chapter has been written.

Originality

Submitted chapters must be original and unpublished.

Perks

The selected chapters will be considered for publication in an ISBN book published by San International Scientific Publications.

The edited volume will carry ISBN: 978-81-69857-48-2.

The publication will follow a double-blind peer review process and will have an interdisciplinary and international scope.
