About the Opportunity
Vcheck is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Due Diligence Intern to join its Pune office. The role is designed for individuals interested in due diligence investigations, research and risk assessment.
Selected interns will participate in comprehensive investigations involving individuals and entities, research and analyse public records, review legal documents, investigate online presence and prepare detailed reports based on their findings. The role will also involve working with internal teams and external third-party firms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should hold a bachelorβs degree in forensic science or be pursuing a relevant undergraduate programme from a recognised university in India.
- Candidates should have an interest in due diligence investigations, research methodologies and risk assessment.
- Candidates should possess fundamental analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Candidates should have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, will be advantageous.
- Candidates should be able to work collaboratively and manage tasks efficiently.
- Candidates should be proactive and willing to acquire new skills and expand their knowledge.
Roles & Responsibilities
Due Diligence Investigations
Interns will conduct detailed public record due diligence investigations on individuals and entities for investment and lending purposes.
Identity and Background Research
Selected interns will confirm identities and search for aliases using various third-party resources.
Legal Document Analysis
Interns will identify, analyse and summarise legal and public records, including liens, judgments, bankruptcies, criminal records, complaints and other recorded documents.
Online Research
The role will involve researching social media profiles, derogatory news and the general online presence of individuals and entities.
Report Preparation
Interns will prepare detailed and well-written client reports based on their investigation findings and ensure that reporting is accurate, precise and completed within required timelines.
Team Coordination
Selected interns will communicate with the Customer Success team to ensure that deliverables and timelines are achievable.
Third-Party Coordination
Interns may collaborate with external third-party firms for document retrieval, court runner services and additional research.
