About the Opportunity
Deloitte is inviting applications for a Manager – Data Privacy position. The selected candidate will lead and manage data privacy and protection engagements across industries including BFSI, technology and healthcare.
The role involves designing, implementing and assessing privacy programmes, advising clients on data protection requirements, conducting privacy assessments and developing privacy frameworks, policies and procedures.

The position is based in Mumbai.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have 5–10 years of relevant experience in data privacy, data protection or cybersecurity advisory.
- Candidates should have a deep understanding of privacy laws and frameworks including GDPR, DPDP, CCPA, ISO 27701 and NIST Privacy Framework.
- Candidates should have experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, gap assessments and remediation roadmaps.
- Familiarity with data discovery tools, privacy technology solutions and consent platforms is an advantage.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, DPO Certification or equivalent are preferred.
- Candidates should have strong stakeholder management, project leadership and communication skills.
- Candidates should have a proven track record in client delivery and team management.
- Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Technology or a related field.
- Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Privacy Programme Management
The Manager will lead and manage data privacy and protection engagements across industries such as BFSI, technology and healthcare.
Privacy Compliance
The role will involve designing, implementing and assessing privacy programmes in alignment with regulations and frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, the DPDP Act, HIPAA and other applicable requirements.
Privacy Assessments
The selected candidate will conduct Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments and gap assessments.
Data Protection Advisory
The role will include advising clients on cross-border data transfers, consent management and lawful processing of personal data.
Privacy Frameworks
The Manager will develop privacy frameworks, policies and procedures tailored to individual client environments.

The candidate will advise on embedding privacy-by-design principles into systems, processes and product development lifecycles.
Cybersecurity & Legal Coordination
The role will involve working with cybersecurity and legal teams to develop integrated data protection strategies.
