About the Opportunity
Adv. Kinjal Dedhia & Associates is inviting applications for the position of Legal Intern. The selected interns will work on matrimonial and family law matters and assist with legal research, drafting, case preparation and court proceedings.
The internship is intended for final-year law students who are genuinely interested in pursuing a long-term career in family law litigation.
Number of Positions
There are 2 vacancies for the position of Legal Intern.
Duration
The internship will be for a minimum period of one year.
Start Date
The selected candidates are expected to join immediately.
Location
The internship will be based at B-3/4, Indraprasth Shopping Centre, S.V. Road, Borivali West, Mumbai – 400092.
Working Hours
The working hours will be from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Stipend
The internship is paid. The stipend amount will be decided based on the candidate’s skills and suitability.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only final-year law students are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should have a genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in family law litigation.
- Prior internship experience in family law will be preferred.
- Candidates should have strong computer, legal research and drafting skills.
- Candidates should be well-versed in English and have good spoken English, Hindi and Marathi.
- Candidates should have fast typing skills.
- Candidates should be comfortable travelling by public transport and attending court.
- Candidates residing in the Mumbai suburbs will be preferred.
- Candidates must be willing to follow office policies and the applicable code of conduct.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research and Drafting
Interns will assist with legal research and drafting work relating to ongoing matters.
Case Preparation
Interns will assist in preparing case summaries and reports.
Matrimonial and Family Law
Interns will assist with ongoing matrimonial and family law matters and support the team in day-to-day litigation work.
Litigation Support
Interns will support court proceedings and attend court with the senior.
Coordination
Interns will coordinate with senior associates on various assignments and undertake other tasks assigned from time to time.
