About Cambridge Journal of Climate Research

The Cambridge Journal of Climate Research (CJCR), bearing ISSNs 3050-2020 and 3050-2012, is an interdisciplinary journal covering research across climate-related fields.

The journal publishes work spanning areas including engineering, atmospheric science, law, demographics, politics, and art.

About the Opportunity

CJCR is inviting submissions for the second issue of its third volume, which is likely to be published in December 2026. The journal accepts full-length academic articles as well as shorter, summative pieces.

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers at all career stages, including undergraduate and postgraduate students. It also particularly welcomes research from practising academics, including College Fellows, Research Associates, Assistant, Associate and Full Professors, as well as professionals working in industry.

All submissions will undergo a double peer-review process. Authors are expected to be available to make substantive changes suggested during the review process. Finalised works will be published online through the Diamond Open Access Journals Platform and in print.

Submissions may address climate-related research across interdisciplinary fields, including:

  • Engineering
  • Atmospheric science
  • Law

  • Politics
  • Art
  • Climate justice
  • Sustainable finance and regulation
  • Climate adaptation and related areas

Eligibility Criteria

  • Submissions are open to contributors at any career stage.
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students may submit.
  • Practising academics and professionals in industry are also encouraged to contribute.
  • Submissions must undergo the journal’s double peer-review process.

The deadline for submission proposals is Friday, 27 February.
