The NUALS Journal of Women, Family and Law (NJWFL) is an academic journal published by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi. The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary scholarship on women, family, and human rights and advance gender-responsive legal solutions and policy.
The journal is published through the Centre for Women and Family Studies at NUALS and welcomes scholarly contributions addressing contemporary issues concerning women, family, equality, and justice.

The NUALS Journal of Women, Family and Law has announced a Call for Papers for its inaugural issue. The theme of the issue is “Women, Family and Law: Perspectives on Equality & Justice.”
The journal welcomes submissions examining the legal, constitutional, social, and policy dimensions of women’s rights, family law, gender justice, and related issues. Submissions may be made in the form of research articles, short articles, case comments, or book reviews.

Types of Submission
The journal accepts the following categories of submissions:
- Research Articles: 6,000–7,500 words
- Short Articles: 5,000–6,000 words
- Case Comments: 2,500–3,000 words
- Book Reviews: 2,500–3,000 words

The deadline for final submissions is October 20, 2026.
Important Dates
- The deadline for final submission is October 20, 2026.
- Communication of acceptance is scheduled for January 10, 2027.
- The inaugural issue is scheduled for publication in March 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
The call for papers does not specify a separate eligibility requirement for authors. Co-authorship is permitted.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Co-authorship is permitted.
- All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
- Manuscripts must be strictly anonymous.
- A separate Word document must contain the title page with the author’s designation, email, phone number, and address.
- Submissions must follow the Standard Indian Legal Citation, 10th Edition.
- An abstract of a maximum of 300 words must be provided along with five keywords. This requirement does not apply to case comments and book reviews.
- The subject line of the submission email should be “Journal Submission 2026”.
- The submission file should follow the prescribed format, i.e., AuthorName2026.
