National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) publishes the Comparative Constitutional Law and Administrative Law Journal (CALJ), a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
The Journal welcomes original and unpublished research on contemporary issues relating to constitutionalism, governance, public law, judicial review, democratic accountability, rights, institutions, and related subjects. While maintaining a focus on the Indian constitutional and administrative framework, CALJ also encourages comparative, transnational, and international perspectives. Contributions adopting doctrinal, theoretical, empirical, historical, or interdisciplinary approaches are welcome, provided they fall within the Journal’s scope.
About the Opportunity
The Comparative Constitutional Law and Administrative Law Journal (CALJ) is inviting original and unpublished manuscripts for Volume 10, Issue II. All submissions will undergo a peer-review process before editorial consideration.
The Journal accepts contributions from scholars, academicians, practitioners, and students across multiple categories, including Articles, Notes, Case Comments, and Book Reviews.
Submission Categories
The Journal accepts submissions in the following categories:
- Articles: Up to 8,000 words.
- Notes: Up to 4,000 words.
- Case Comments: Up to 2,000 words.
- Book Reviews: Up to 2,000 words.
Each submission must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 350 words.
Deadline
The extended deadline for submission is 11:59 PM (IST), August 1, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Authors must submit original and unpublished manuscripts.
- Submissions must fall within the scope of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, or related public law disciplines.
- A maximum of two authors is permitted for Articles and Notes.
- Co-authorship is not permitted for Case Comments and Book Reviews.
- Authors must ensure that the manuscript is anonymous for the peer-review process.
- The maximum similarity index permitted is 10%.
- The use of Generative AI tools must not exceed 30% of the manuscript.
- Any use of Generative AI must be disclosed before the abstract, specifying the tool, version, purpose, and manner of use.

Manuscript Requirements
Formatting
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- The manuscript must use Garamond font.
- Main text should be in font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing.
- Footnotes should be in font size 10 with single line spacing.
- The entire manuscript, including footnotes, must be justified.
- Verbatim quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks, italicised, and indented by 0.5 inches.
- British English conventions must be followed.
Citation Style
- OSCOLA citation style is mandatory.
- All authorities must be cited through footnotes.
- Speaking footnotes are permitted.
Submission Requirements
- The manuscript must not contain any identifying information.
- The file name should follow the format: Submission_Volume 10 Issue II [Article/Note/Case Comment/Book Review].
- Authors should notify the Editorial Board if the manuscript has been submitted simultaneously elsewhere.
