National Law University, Delhi (NLUD), through its Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy (CLLRA), publishes the NLUD Journal on Labour, an annual, double-blind peer-reviewed journal. The journal seeks to promote interdisciplinary scholarship on labour law and related issues by encouraging diverse academic perspectives.
The Third Issue (2026–27) focuses on the theme “Technology, Labour and Governance” and aims to provide a platform for scholarly discussions on the evolving relationship between technology, labour, and governance.
About the Opportunity
The Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy, National Law University, Delhi, is inviting original and unpublished manuscripts for the Third Issue (2026–27) of the NLUD Journal on Labour.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions addressing the theme “Technology, Labour and Governance.” Suggested themes include digital governance, artificial intelligence and labour, gig economy, labour welfare, digital identity, worker privacy, workplace surveillance, labour inspection, social protection, and related areas.
Start Date
The submission portal opens on July 20, 2026.
Deadline
The last date for final submission is September 30, 2026.
Communication of acceptance and confirmation is scheduled for January 30, 2027, while the proposed publication date is May 15, 2027.

Eligibility Criteria
- Original and unpublished submissions are invited.
- Student submissions (UG/PG) will not be considered for publication.
- All submissions, except book reviews, must include an abstract of not more than 300 words and five keywords.
- Referencing and citations must conform to the APA citation style.
Roles & Responsibilities
Research and Writing
Authors may submit manuscripts in any of the following categories:
- Special Articles: 8,000–10,000 words.
- Short Articles: 5,000–8,000 words.
- Insights/Perspectives: 3,500–4,500 words.
- Book Reviews/Case Notes: 2,500–3,000 words.
- Field Notes/Pictorial Commentaries: 1–2 pages.
Submission Requirements
- Ensure that all word limits are inclusive of footnotes.
- Submit only original work that is not under simultaneous consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Comply with the journal’s publication and copyright policies.
