About Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat, was established by the Government of Haryana under the Haryana Act No. 15 of 2012. Renamed in 2014 in honour of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the University is dedicated to advancing legal education, interdisciplinary learning, and practical legal skills.
The conference is being jointly organised by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat; National Law University, Delhi; Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj; Central University of Haryana; Law Centre-II, University of Delhi; and the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
About the Opportunity
The organisers are inviting original and unpublished research papers for the National Conference titled “50 Years of the Constitutional Dissent: Revisiting Justice H.R. Khanna’s Legacy.” The conference commemorates the 50th anniversary of Justice H.R. Khanna’s historic dissent in ADM Jabalpur v. Shivkant Shukla and aims to promote constitutional scholarship on liberty, judicial independence, and the rule of law.
The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and paper presentation sessions involving judges, academicians, legal practitioners, researchers, and students from across the country. Selected papers will be considered for publication in an edited volume.

The conference will be conducted in hybrid mode.
Remuneration
There is no remuneration for participation.
Deadline
The last date for abstract submission and registration is July 28, 2026. The inaugural and valedictory ceremony is scheduled for July 30, 2026.

Roles & Responsibilities
Research and Writing
- Submit an original and unpublished research paper.
- Prepare an abstract of 200–250 words clearly identifying the research problem.
- Submit a full paper of 4,000–6,000 words (excluding references).
- Follow APA 7th Edition citation style.
- Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5-line spacing.
Presentation
- Present the selected paper during the conference.
- Submit a PowerPoint presentation along with the full paper if shortlisted for presentation.
