The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous recruitment body that conducts the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for recruitment to various posts in India’s public sector banks. Through CRP SPL-XV, IBPS is recruiting Specialist Officers, including Law Officers (Scale I), for the 2026–27 recruitment cycle.
About the Opportunity
IBPS is inviting online applications for the post of Law Officer (Scale I) under the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XV). Selected candidates will be appointed in participating public sector banks across India to handle legal matters relating to banking operations, recovery proceedings, compliance, litigation, documentation, and legal advisory work.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised university.
- Be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
- Be between 20 and 30 years of age. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per Government norms.

- Preliminary Online Examination
- Main Online Examination
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed as Specialist Officer (Scale I) with a starting basic pay of ₹48,480, along with DA, HRA, CCA and other allowances as per bank rules.
