About the Internship
The Patel Law Chambers Internship is designed for law students looking to gain meaningful exposure to legal practice in a professional law firm environment. Interns will actively participate in legal research, drafting, litigation support, and client-related work while learning directly from practising advocates.
The internship provides an opportunity to understand both contentious and non-contentious legal work, making it suitable for students interested in pursuing careers in litigation, corporate law, intellectual property, taxation, and regulatory practice.
Location
This is an on-site internship based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Stipend
Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹4,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students in the 4th or 5th year of a five-year integrated LL.B. programme may apply.
- Candidates should possess a sound understanding of legal principles and legal research methodologies.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills are preferred.
- Familiarity with legal research databases and drafting practices will be an advantage.
- Prior exposure to litigation or legal internships will be considered beneficial.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
- Conduct research on legal issues across various practice areas.
- Analyse statutes, regulations, and judicial precedents.
- Prepare research notes and legal summaries.
Drafting & Documentation
- Assist in drafting legal documents, pleadings, applications, and submissions.
- Support advocates in preparing case-related documentation.
Litigation Support
- Assist senior advocates in case preparation and strategy.
- Observe court proceedings and understand litigation processes.
- Support ongoing civil and criminal matters.
Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients regarding documentation and procedural requirements.
- Provide administrative and legal support where necessary.
